I am a mentor / SME for various startups and an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University and San Jose State University.
Before mentoring startups, I was VP of business development and marketing at DynoSense Corp. for over eight years, providing solutions for people to take control of their health that enable them to read all significant vital signs at home. Before DynoSense, I founded and built Savitron, Inc., which provided engineering and consulting services. Before Savitron, I was the global director of program management at Sanmina-SCI Corporation (a leading EMS provider with operations in 45 countries). Before then, I built an electronics and manufacturing consultancy from zero to >$20 million in sales over four years despite the 2008 downturn.
I have also taught marketing, management, and operations at various universities in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as universities in Europe, China, Korea, Vietnam, and Chile (I have a Ph.D. in business), trained other faculty members for five years, wrote two textbooks used in MBA classes, created multiple accredited online university courses, and wrote articles in several peer-reviewed medical journals. I’ve leveraged my teaching and international experience to mentor high-tech firm employees to outpace business development goals.
